A site is the property or location — identified by its address, client, and geography. A building is a physical structure that sits on that site. The key distinction is that one site can contain multiple buildings. A hospital campus, an industrial facility, or a school property might all be a single site with several buildings on it. Each building is then the long-term container for its own hazardous-material inventory — floors, rooms, materials, samples, and reports all live under the building, and that inventory persists and updates across every inspection over the building's life.

An active site is one you're currently managing in Towerforma and can actively survey, update and maintain. It is accessible to your clients, who can view the inventory at any time. Active sites count toward your plan's portfolio limit. Archived sites remain retained in your account for historical reference but do not count toward your active-site allowance. Every plan includes unlimited archived sites. Once archived, the site's inventory cannot be modified. You can retrieve a site out of the archive at any time and pick up where you left off.

You don't necessarily need to move to another plan. Solo, Team and Firm customers can add capacity in blocks of 5 active sites for $110/month. If your portfolio grows substantially, moving to the next plan may provide better value.

You can change plans as your portfolio changes. Upgrades take effect immediately so you can access the additional site capacity. Downgrades take effect at the next billing period. If your account currently has more active sites than the new plan allows, you'll need to archive enough sites to fit within the new limit before the downgrade takes effect.

No. Towerforma does not charge per user, and client view-only accounts are free. You can give clients access to information you've shared with them without consuming an active-site slot beyond the site itself or adding a per-seat charge. Client view-only accounts cannot edit, upload or download data.

No. Every plan includes unlimited surveys. Pricing is based on the number of sites you are actively managing, rather than the number of inspections or surveys you conduct.

No. All Towerforma plans include unlimited users. We want surveyors, project managers and administrators working from the same site and building records rather than sharing credentials or limiting access because of per-seat pricing.

Archiving removes the site from your active-site count while retaining its historical Towerforma record. If you need to perform additional work on the site later, you can reactivate it as long as there is room within your active-site allowance.

No. Towerforma does not restrict core surveying functionality to higher pricing tiers. AI-assisted surveying, exports, the client portal, document storage and the core Towerforma workflow are included with Solo, Team and Firm plans. The primary difference between plans is active-site capacity.

If Towerforma fits your workflow, your subscription begins automatically. If not, you can cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be charged.

At the end of your trial, you can select the plan that fits your active portfolio.

Paid Towerforma accounts can export their building information and supporting data using the export functionality available within the platform. Your records are not intended to be trapped inside Towerforma.
